Ryan Stuart Griffith passed from this life on
October 4, 2007 in Seoul, South Korea. He was born
in Corsicana, Texas, on June 6, 1983 and spent his
childhood in Arlington, Texas. Ryan graduated from
Columbia Christian High School in Portland, Oregon
in 2001 and then attended Cascade College, where he
graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in
2006. Ryan was an active member at the Metro Church
of Christ in Gresham, OR. He helped teach classes on
Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. He had a
mischievous sense of humor and a knack for mimicking
lines from movies. Ryan liked to spend time with his
family and play card games. He could beat almost
anybody at the card game 14. Ryan had recently
moved to South Korea to teach English to elementary
aged students at a private school and when he passed,
he was doing what he loved. He treasured his time
there with friends.
Ryan was many things to different people: son, brother,
uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, teacher, and most
importantly, Christian. Although we are saddened by
his passing, we rejoice in the fact that Ryan is with his
Heavenly Father.

Ryan was a joy and great asset to Columbia Christian schools while he was a student with us. He was always willing to help and cooperate with others. I personally considered him a friend and appreciated sharing conversation with him. He continued to "stop by" the school when he was a student at Cascade College. Our thoughts are with Mike and Diana and his family. Ryan is in the presence of the Lord and will be forever blessed.

I miss Ryan so much. You always made me special when we visited. You will always be in my heart.
Ryan, I miss you so much. You would be so proud of your sweet nephew and niece. Little Ryan has your reddish hair. And his smile is so wonderful. I know you are watching over them and your parents and sister. We love you.
We were talking about Texas this morning. Maxine remembered a time when Mike brought his VW to KC for Russell to fix. Ryan had a good time on their deck and basement. Anyway, Maxine saw Ina Malone some time after that. Ina said when they visited their daughter in Texas, she saw Ryan. He heard that Ina was going to KC. He asked if she knew the Goulds. He said that they should go by the Goulds because it was a fun place to go!! Then he ran off to play with his church friends!!
Got you a new fish ornament this year, Buddy. You'd like it a lot.
Miss you so much, Ryan. Always will.
